Professional Services Lieutenant

      Lt. Lois Kirgan began her career with Bensalem Township Police Department after receiving her B.S. in Law Enforcement from the University of Scranton.  Lt. Kirgan has been a Bensalem Township police officer for more than 25 years. Starting as a police dispatcher, then becoming a police officer by attending the Pa. State Police Academy; she enjoyed working in patrol and was a DARE officer.  She was the first female officer to be promoted to the rank of Sergeant in Bucks County. As a supervisor she has held numerous positions in Patrol, Juvenile, Criminal Investigations and Support Units.  As a life-long resident of Bensalem, she has a strong and personal commitment to the community she serves. 
     Now as Professional Services Lieutenant, she oversees the training for the department, employee compensation, reviews and liability issues.
