Bensalem Police are now offering free drug testing kits for Bensalem residents. If you suspect a family member may have or is currently using narcotics you may now get a free kit to perform testing. They are available at the Records Department located at the main entrance to the Municipal building at the clock.
These will be given out on a first come first serve basis.
In order to receive your free kit you must present a valid ID that indicates your Bensalem residency status
If you suspect any of the following ask for:

Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Opiates (Heroin), Benzodiazepines
Drug Test Instructions
Step 1- Have person of interest place urine sample in the plastic cup
Step 2- Remove the test card from the sealed pouch and use as soon as possible
Step 3- Remove the cap on the plastic test card
Step 4- Dip the end of the test card with the wavy lines in the urine sample but, DO NOT go past the wavy lines have it so the urine is in the middle of the lines
Step 5- Hold it there for 10-15 seconds
Step 6- Replace the cap and place it on a dry flat surface
Step 7- Wait 3-5 minutes and then read the results
Step 8- View the other end of the test card, this will show you what positive and negative results look like
NOTE: If you witness the person of interest fill the cup with urine and DO NOT suspect the urine was tampered with then you DO NOT need the verification of the samples with the adulteration strips. If YOU DO suspect the urine was tampered with, dip the adulteration strip in the sample. If the boxes turn color most likely it WAS tampered with. Feel free to come back and pick up a new test.
